Last Week In Dinger Derby

Standings

A couple new names in the top 5 this week with Junior Mines and Dawson Clapp working their way up the standings. Mike Kirkwood extended his lead with a decent week. Top squads for Week 5 were Gabriel Mesfin and TanMan34, who each racked up 17 round-trippers. Things are really tight all through the standings, and could tighten up some more as a few sluggers were back in the line up after extended absences at the start of the year.

Oppo Field is still holding down the basement, this week joined by Cody Skelton. Amy Thornton had a double digit week to crawl out. This week's low score was 5, with that dubious distinction going to Ricky G. In the process he's gone from mid-pack to bottom 10.

Stats

Four sluggers are sitting at 9 HR, sharing the pool lead. Acuna, Castellanos, Martinez and an on-fire Kris Bryant all got there with a multiple HR week. Bryant and Jose Ramirez shared the weekly top score with 4, followed by a heating up Aaron Judge and Vladimir Guerrero Jr at 3. George Springer finally saw some action this week and didn't disappoint, going yard twice in 4 games.

Injuries

  • C. Bellinger - IL 10 - out indefinitely
  • E. Jimenez - IL 60 - Out until Sept
  • L. Robert - sounds like it could be 3-4 months
  • M. Sano - IL 10 - mid-May
  • J. Soto - IL 10 - mid-May
  • L. Voit - mid-May

Stuff

Nada this week. Still haven't gotten to the player's team/status crap yet. Maybe in a month after we move and I have a couple weeks off.
